Hiii lovelies! It seems like September has come and gone so fast! It's been such a busy month for me and I personally love it! The busier I am, the less guilty I feel about slothing around eating pints of Ben & Jerrys ice cream haha. I've been really stepping out of my usual go-to outfits and buying things that instantly make me feel something. I've always loved a good matching set but have been too hesitant to actually purchase and rock one... until now! In this post, I want to show you all that matching sets aren't as daunting as they may seem and are way easier to wear than I personally thought. This two-piece martini colored set is from Free People- The second I saw it, I had to get it. I would probably say this was one of the best impulse buys I've made in a while. The color drew me in instantly. I love that I can easily wear the top and bottom separately for other looks.
It's beyond comfortable and so easy to style. I can dress it down for a farmers market day with some sandals and basket bag, or dress it up a little with a small bag and heels for happy hour drinks. For this casual meets (kinda) dressy look, I focused on black accessories for contrast. For a nice but subtle play on color, I added this dreamy multicolored silk neck scarf to my purse and hair. Both the scarf and purse were found secondhand (both under $5, hell yes, under $5). My favorite piece of jewelry I wore was this bracelet from Charming Charlie's- I used it as an ankle bracelet though! I loved the dainty look of this ankle bracelet so much that I'll definitely be wearing it again. Two-piece sets are very simple when you don't overthink it. I finally stopped overthinking them and realized that they do most of the work- you just add a few bitchin' accessories to compliment. Plus, it's so perfect for the days that my brain just doesn't want to work to build an outfit- we all have thoooosee days, amirite?! So go on girl, go get a two-piece set and thank me later! Gabs xx
