Happy holiday season everyone! I seriously cannot believe it's already December and almost mid December, at that! I don't know if it's just me or what but this year FLEW by- like 2018 is in 3 weeks... Wow. Mike and I are going to Utah for a week and I'm SO excited to visit our fam and friends. I can't wait for those gorgeous mountains and the worlds best snow! Well with the year ending, everyone has a party or two to attend wether it's family, friends, or a company event. Figuring out what to wear just adds on to the holiday stress, amiright?! No one has time for that, so here I am for ya! These are two looks I've been dying to show you guys! This look gives me all of the sweet, delicate, classy feels! This dress from Shop Preservation is such a gem, fits great and the color, come on! The sheer fabric is everything, sexy but not over the top. As for the sleeves, you don't have to worry about being too cold or too hot (I personally can never decide myself so hell yes for a sheer long sleeve). And can we just talk about my heels for a quick sec? I always feel like a million bucks when I'm in my FRĒDA Salvador heels. It was a no brainer to pair these babies with this look. And that hardware on the heels to roughen the look up? Done. I kept the accessories simple as per usual and let the dress and heels work their magic. I'm OBSESSED with this look guys, seriously. Talk about sporty spice meets 70's color blocking meets 'the party don't start 'til I walk in' vibes! I still cannot believe I found this dress at Crossroads but then again, I can though because Crossroads is freaking amazing (yay secondhand shops). The minute I tried it on I was like "oh okay, yes I've been missing this exact look my entire life". If I could, I would wear this 24/7 because it's just so damn soft and cozy! I knew right away that I wanted to compliment this look with white boots. I'm all about playing colors lately wether it's pop of color, color blocking, or monochrome looks- I'm here for it all! The rich green and blue contrast so beautifully with those powerful white boots. I'm not a huge silver lover but I couldn't pass up on matching my silver hoops with the silver handles on the purse. *STORY TIME: Lets be real for a min* Being that this look is an A+ in my book, I was so pumped to shoot this. Sunday comes and it's time to shoot- yes! It SUCKS that the sun goes down so early so all of my shooting has to be done during the weekends which can be such a pain but whateva. Anyways, we get to the location and the camera only has one bar and the charger was nowhere to be found. Stupidly, we try to make do and get what we can on one bar... I know, I know. First look, done, great! Second look, the battery dies like 30 shots in (which in the blogging world is NOTHING, right fellow bloggers??). There was nothing we could do but work with what we had and just laugh at ourselves. The point to this ramble is SHIT HAPPENS! Not everything is perfect but photos can make everything seem so easy and seamless when that might not be the case at all. Just breathe and take this as they are! Just wanted to share this for anyone who needs a little reminder that everything will be okay, life goes on, and you are enough. :* Anyway! I hope you enjoyed these two outfits for the holidays! I wanted to go for contrasting looks like sweet and spicy or soft and edgy and I'm excited to finally share them with you all! What exciting holiday plans do you have or keeping it quiet this year? xx Gabs
